How to choose a great blog title

The first most important task in blogging world is choosing a proper and attractive blog name, as it helps in marketing and branding of our blog. Search engine like Google, Bing and Yahoo also looks at the blog title for ranking.

Beyond this, good and attractive title always helps in drive traffic from search engine. Choosing blog names is simple and easy task, but it may require some time as it requires idea generation, a lot of research, proper selection and finally finalizing the title.

So before you choose a blog name, follow these simple 1-2-3 rules:

1) Name should Describe your blog: People will see the link of your blog, in search engines, and elsewhere before reading. So if the blog name is also a description on what your blog is about they're more likely visit it. A good and attractive blog name can attract a lot of visitors.

2) Simple, Easy to remember: If your blog is about fitness, cycling and health, would you title or name your blog as “Fitness, Cycling and General Health Blog”? It would be a comprehensive description, but would anyone remember it?

3) Same Blog name and Domain name: This point has both supporters and opponents. Proponents say that same blog and domain name reinforces the readers ability to recall your blog. Opponents are some SEO analysis sites which throw up a warning if both URL and blog name are same.

Apart, there is the difficulty of your choice name availability. Almost all the best domain names have been snapped up.

Unless you are looking at some out-of-the-way names like madmadrasi or crackpotjack or wisemantalking, you're most likely to be out of luck. :-D
